Board members approved purchase order 8061 for replacement band instruments (tuba, euphonium and related brass), with staff noting the items remain school property and are maintained on site. The board approved purchase order 8048 for Music Doctors instrument purchases for Daniel Boone High School and PO 35922 for Imagine Learning to serve Stepping Stone Academy under a federal flow‑through arrangement.
Board members questioned PO 8082 for the Tennessee Book Company, which staff said covers gap years for instructional materials and carries a $159,000 figure in the discussion: "The 159,000," a staff speaker noted when explaining materials budgeting. Staff said the extension fills gap years and is budgeted across multiple years.
The board also approved PO 8092 for Skyward (finance department annual renewal) so payroll and finance functions continue: a board member said, "Make a motion we approve 8092 so people get paid." Other approved items included Curriculum Associates materials for English language support (PO 35905), a requisition (34027) for David Crockett High School cheer items funded from school funds, and several FY '27 standard renewals (assessment and literacy support software).
All consent and purchase order items were approved by consensus.
