Dodge County authorized to apply for GTIB funding for three road projects

Commissioner Jeffrey Jones moved to authorize the application for Eastman Milan Road (full-depth reclamation), Bill Mullis Road (pave — triple surface treatment) and Zion Hill Road (resurfacing). Commissioner Sharon Cobb Flanagan seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes record that the board may decline the GTIB award after the application is submitted.
The motion authorizes pursuit of state infrastructure financing; no funding agreements or construction contracts were approved at the Jan. 6 meeting. Next steps will be for county staff to prepare and submit the GTIB application and, if an award is offered, present any loan or grant terms to the board for approval.
