Commissioners make multiple board appointments and approve two subdivision final plats and a lakeshore permit

Lincoln County commissioners approved a slate of board appointments and several land-use items Feb. 25. Appointments included Courtney Hubard to the Fair Board, Noah Pile to the Weed Board (after a brief public introduction by Jonathan Jameson), Chris Neil to the Eureka Parks and Trails Board, Andrew Mailing to the Troy Lake TV Board, and the reappointment of Arthur Walters to the Tobacco Valley Industrial District board; two vacancies remain on the County Tax Appeal Board. The commission followed board recommendations for the appointments and recorded votes for each motion.
On planning items, staff recommended and commissioners approved final plat approval for the Stevenson single-lot subdivision in the Bobtail Creek area and for the Cobell (Old Bell) Acres final plat after staff confirmed the applicants met standard conditions of approval. Commissioners also approved a lakeshore permit for Pleasant Valley Cattle Company and Oscar Mayor for a 20-by-38-foot floating dock (about 280 sq. ft.) with stepped stone access subject to six standard conditions, including anchoring, minimal shoreline disturbance and compliance with state and local permits.
