After discussion and an amended motion to allocate roughly $27,95.58 (as recorded in the board’s motion), the board approved partial funding and encouraged the Manor to apply for additional grant rounds to cover remaining camera costs.
The board also approved a $50,000 county allocation to match $50,000 from the MI Foundation to complete cosmetic and community elements of the recreation‑center renovation project. Commissioners said the match brings the project to a community‑ready phase after the earlier grant scope was narrowed to prioritize sustainable, educational and IT improvements.
All three motions were approved by voice vote during the meeting.
