Before the motion, the chair read the roll and said Trustees Crystal Davala, Marshall Kendrick, Nela Sullivan, Casey Felin and Kenny Fernandez were present; Trustee P. Gonzalez and another trustee were noted as en route. The chair also stated that notice of the meeting had been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act (Texas Government Code, chapter 551).
The chair announced that Trustee Sullivan would give the invocation and Trustee Davala would lead the pledges. During the public-comment portion of the agenda the chair said there were no speakers.
The board said it would reconvene in open session at 3:29 p.m.; the transcript does not record any subsequent open-session votes or disclosures prior to adjournment into closed session.
Texas Government Code section 551.071 generally permits consultations with legal counsel that are privileged; section 551.074 generally authorizes closed meetings for certain personnel matters.
