Treasurer says budget largely unchanged despite higher mailing and supply costs

On supplies, the treasurer said the office has a $9,000 supplies appropriation and has used roughly $3,700 so far. The meeting included discussion of moving paper procurement responsibility to departments and having IT assist with ordering higher-cost items such as printer ink to capture better pricing; commissioners and staff discussed internal invoicing if departments exceed their line items.
The treasurer put the current budget baseline at $671,576 plus the pending adjustments for wages and contributions. The office will submit the numbers for inclusion in the overall county budget and will revisit any significant changes once wage data are finalized.
