The San Marino City Council accepted the notice of completion for the four-year storm-drain trash-capture filter program (Project No. 46-8026) performed by GD Construction Inc. and authorized city staff to file the notice of completion.
Director Shaw told the council the project included field reviews of about 134 county-owned catch basins and that some locations are not eligible for devices because of siting constraints or ownership; staff said older devices at some locations may need replacement and that permits will be required for installations in county-owned basins. "We have surveyed throughout the city and we'll make sure there's... some locations that may not have them because they can't," Director Shaw said, describing the next steps of prioritization and permitting.
Council discussion noted local flooding and debris concerns in parts of the city and asked that staff ensure a thorough post-installation survey before filing completion. The council approved the acceptance and filing by unanimous roll call vote.
