Stumptown Cold Brew expands manufacturing in Clackamas County after grant-funded conversion

The Clackamas County Board of Commissioners on March 12 heard a business-spotlight presentation on Stumptown Coffee Roasters’ cold-brew manufacturing in Clackamas County.
Laura Edmonds, the county’s economic development manager, said the business-spotlight video series highlights FY2025 business-development grant recipients; Stumptown received a $100,000 grant in 2024 to convert a Milwaukee building into a cold-brew manufacturing facility. Katrina Benton, Stumptown’s cold-brew operations manager, said the company increased production capacity about four-fold, consolidated multiple sites, and hired additional staff (cold-brew operators and a maintenance technician). Benton said local coordination with the city and county made the move smoother.
Commissioners praised the investment as a local economic win and noted cost savings from consolidation and the potential for further growth.
