Commissioners asked county staff to schedule a follow‑up meeting with shelter representatives (Wendy Anderson) so officials could discuss future events and coordination.
Several small invoices were approved without controversy: Sapphire Resource Connections for $1,667.52 (quarterly services), Environomics Incorporated for $540 (consultant invoice), and a legal invoice of $1,141.77 tied to Magnolia Properties v. Lincoln County. The board also approved $17,091 for annual Montana Association of Counties dues and accepted a modification to a Schedule A road agreement that added $30,000 for chip sealing in the Troy district (noted as no cost to Lincoln County, the funding coming from the road sponsor).
On land‑use business, the board granted a 90‑day extension to Northstar Landing’s preliminary plat to allow completion of remaining items: a shared community septic system (DEQ approved the permit July 3, 2025), road subgrade/graveling, final seeding/topsoiling and power installation. Developer Larry Stewart spoke during public comment and said the project has progressed rapidly when approvals are received but that some specialized items (control panels, culverts) are subject to long lead times. "90 days is more than enough time to get the work done," Stewart said, while also asking whether a narrowly scoped subdivision improvements agreement (SIA) could be used later for remaining parts if supply problems persist. Staff confirmed an SIA focused only on specific outstanding items would be an option if necessary.
The board also approved a two‑year extension for the La Lomita (Laal Lumita) three‑lot subdivision; planning staff recommended two years rather than the three years requested because it was a first extension and the outstanding work mainly concerned utility installation.
All votes on the listed financial items and the two plat extensions were taken during the meeting and the motions carried. The meeting adjourned following the agenda items.
