Auditor Miss Hayes requested a $5,400 line‑item transfer within the county budget, which passed on a unanimous vote. The court approved payment of regular bills totaling $5,245 and payroll for May 12, 2023. Purchasing presented a rebid for SE coat; Bud McCracken was the sole bidder at $3.80 per unit and the court awarded the bid.
Information Technology items included entering a services agreement with Conta for fiber to the Hallsville Subcourthouse and agreements with Tyler Technologies and a vendor for server operating‑system software to migrate end‑of‑life public safety servers. Officials said the migration will address security vulnerabilities because current systems are approaching end‑of‑life and will allow supported security patches.
Treasurer Mr. Rush presented the April monthly report and investment detail, reporting cash plus investments of approximately $42.8 million and interest earnings across Texas CLASS and other accounts. The court approved the monthly report, investment report and a resolution adopting the county investment policy (a minor change added Texas Bank & Trust Wealth Management to the authorized broker/dealer list). The court also approved quarterly fees remitted to the state as presented.
All routine items on the consent and departmental reports passed unanimously.
