Chair said the project aligns with federal courthouse safety recommendations and that the minutes should show the county’s efforts to meet those requirements if bids do not come in. Commissioners discussed splitting or breaking out components of the work to attract more bids and reduce single‑contract risk.
Next steps: staff will reissue the bid package and return to the board with any new bids and a recommendation. The board did not set final award conditions during the meeting.
