Cameron County commissioners approve routine contracts, bonds, appointments and veterans proclamation

At their regular meeting, Cameron County commissioners approved a package of routine business items covering contracts, bonds, appointments, service agreements and a veterans proclamation.
Approved items included: a PSA renewal quote with Johnson Controls for fire-alarm and sprinkler inspection and maintenance (quoted at $988); a four-year prepaid tax-collector bond premium of $4,987; a $2,478 contribution to the North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission; appointments of Josh Zucul (and retention of Cliff Clark) as county representatives to the PA Wild planning team; appointments of Jamie Gillan and Janelle to the Cameron County Local Emergency Planning Committee; and an updated service agreement between Cameron County Children and Youth Services and Capsi, Inc. Each motion was moved, seconded and passed by voice vote during the meeting.
The board also approved a proclamation declaring Cameron County’s participation in Operation Greenlight for veterans and elected to observe the recognition for the entire month of November 2025 rather than only the week surrounding Veterans Day. The proclamation text presented to the board cited veteran transition statistics and encouraged citizens to display a green light during November.
Commissioners praised elections staff for recent election-day work and announced that Misty will receive a safety award at the upcoming CCAP conference. The meeting record shows these items were presented as routine agenda business and were approved without recorded roll-call tallies.
