Staff described the scope: construction of a 5‑ft‑wide trail on filter cloth with 3/4‑minus crushed rock (minimum 8‑in depth), a 60‑by‑60‑ft parking area with a future paved lift if funds remain, installation of approximately 4,400 ft of fence to separate the trail from adjacent subdivisions, a vault toilet, a kiosk, signage delineating rules and land ownership, and an entry gate. The grant covers materials and specified reimbursements; contractors may provide certain services without reimbursement per the task order terms.
Commissioners moved to approve Task Order No. 3 and adopted the motion by voice vote; staff noted some attachments were single‑sided in the printed packet and offered to provide full copies on request.
Next steps: the parks/roads staff and contractor will proceed with procurement and construction under the task‑order terms and return updated timelines and reimbursement requests to NRDP and the commission.
