The court settled on $75 for a half-day (roughly four hours), $150 for a full day, $250 for a weekend booking (e.g., Friday–Saturday), and a $100 deposit with defined return rules. Verified nonprofits and county functions are eligible for free use of the facility but must still post the deposit. The county will require nonprofit verification and an event form documenting intended use.
"I just want to come to court and get guidelines so I know and I can tell the citizens when they come in," Morgan said, urging clarity on hourly and weekend fees. Commissioners asked staff to implement the verification and inspection processes and to apply the deposit-return policy consistently.
The motion to adopt the rental policy was made, seconded and approved unanimously among those present. Staff will publish the new rates and the form requirements and inspect the facility after events to determine deposit returns.
