During public comments, Steve Harron described the senior farmers market voucher distribution for 2026: vouchers will be given to qualifying seniors on June 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tomorrow Center (161 Twin Lakes Drive); the program requires recipients be age 60 or older, low income, and residents of Saluda County. Harron said the vouchers will be worth $50 and that a produce provider will be on-site so seniors may redeem the vouchers the same day if they choose. The program is being used statewide this year.
The council received the announcement as information; no council action was required.
