Superintendent Holmes asked the board to approve an ad hoc committee composed of parents, students, board members, administrators, teachers, student services professionals and community residents to review the code of conduct and present recommendations before the end of the 2025'26 school year. "Establishing this ad hoc committee now will allow for meaningful stakeholder engagement," Holmes said. The motion to form the committee was moved by Martin and seconded; the board carried the motion and directed members to submit interest in serving so appointments can be made in January.
On the library plan, administration said library media specialists updated the plan to align with the district's current pillars and modernization needs. Board members asked about funding; finance director Chad Trobridge explained the plan relies in part on interest generated from the state trust fund loan (common school fund) and that exact allocations are confirmed later in the fiscal year. The board voted to accept the 2025'2028 library plan as presented.
