The board next considered the executive-session agenda. Martin moved to approve it; McKillip seconded. The board approved the executive-session agenda without recorded opposition.
A board member then moved that the board adjourn into executive session pursuant to Wisconsin law to consider prior closed-session minutes; review safety drill evaluations; review a specific employment action concerning individual employees; discuss employee matters; receive an update on the superintendent search; and discuss the evaluation of the superintendent. The motion was identified on the record as moved by Peggy McKillip and seconded by Martin. "I make a motion to move to executive session," the mover stated during the record.
The clerk called roll for the motion to enter executive session. On the roll call, Peggy McKillip and Dave Martino recorded affirmative responses; other members who spoke or were recorded on the roll included Jerry Jasper, Sharon Malco and Steve Olsson. The presiding officer announced the motion carried and the board entered closed session.
No substantive debate of the executive-session items occurred on the public record. The board indicated the closed session would address personnel and the superintendent search; no votes on policy or personnel outcomes were taken in public before adjournment into closed session.
