TOMS RIVER, N.J. — During its regular meeting the Toms River Regional School District board approved a series of routine administrative and governance items by unanimous roll-call votes.
The board certified the district's 2024-25 New Jersey Department of Education self-assessment under the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act (district score reported as 77 of 78), noting the district recorded 254 HIB reports in 2024-25 with 73 confirmed. The board also approved the submission of the M1 health and safety evaluation checklist and the comprehensive maintenance plan and capital reserve calculator for 2025-26.
Separately, the board approved first readings and the adoption of second readings for the policies, regulations and bylaws listed on the agenda, certified the board secretary's report for August 2025, and approved grouped personnel items and educational program items. All votes were taken by roll call and recorded as "yes" from the members present: Matarazzo, Jubert, Coin, Contessa, Egan, Pascarella, Capone and Lamb.
