He said the jail population was 285 as of Feb. 4 and that the county was housing 30 contract inmates for the U.S. Marshals Service.
Kletcher also described environmental-health inspections and permit revenue collections and noted continued challenges with clearing inmates.
Later in the meeting, the court considered the county's 2025 racial profiling report compiled by Dr. Dell Carman. The report's summary of findings recommended maintaining current reporting and audit practices; commissioners voted 4-0 to accept the report.
The court did not take further formal action on operational staffing or jail population reductions at the meeting, but commissioners and staff discussed ongoing monitoring and audits.
