Auditor Miss Haynes summarized the October financial report, noting year‑to‑date general fund collections of $389,481 compared with $839,332 the prior year and that health care and insurance timing had increased expenditures. "As of October 31st, 2025, we had collected $389,481 in comparison to $839,332," Haynes said.
The court approved an immediate transfer of $250,000 to group health insurance to cover medical claims and ratify the action in open court, and it approved a special budget amendment accepting about $153,000 reimbursing the county for previously incurred juvenile detention expenses. Commissioners also approved a budget amendment that increased a road and bridge communications/generator line from $85,770 to $89,690 after an additional $3,920 invoice from Clifford Power.
On procurement, the court approved payment of invoices including Clifford Power (invoice JC17812 for $3,920) and a Motorola Solutions invoice (no. 33863) for $185,969.15 to support communications upgrades. Commissioners discussed that parts of the communications project remain grant‑dependent and installment payments may be necessary while the county awaits grant funds.
