The Toole County board voted to approve a joint powers agreement with the Montana Association of Counties (MACo) Property & Casualty Trust after recent bylaw changes were adopted at MACo’s mid-conference in Billings.
Staff explained the trust had revised its bylaws and sent counties the updated joint powers agreement for signature. Board members noted the bylaw changes include a prohibition on two people from the same county serving on the trust board at the same time. A motion to approve the agreement was made, seconded and carried by voice vote.
Board members indicated the change was consistent with MACo recommendations made at the conference and asked that the minutes reflect that recommendation. No further discussion or dissent was recorded.
