Daniels County Commissioners approve aging and immunization contracts and sign interlocal policing agreement with Scobby

The Daniels County Commissioners voted Oct. 21 to accept two service agreements and to execute an interlocal law-enforcement agreement with the City of Scobby.

The board unanimously approved an aging-services contract with Action for Eastern Montana and an agreement between Daniels Memorial and the county health department for immunization services. "All those in favor, say ‘aye’ — no opposition," the chair said after motions and seconds were recorded and the items were signed.

The contracts were described briefly during the meeting as routine renewals. County staff said the immunization agreement mirrors prior years' language and that signed copies were on the agenda for signature. Commissioners also discussed related procurement paperwork and indicated that grant-funded items and donated equipment must be routed through county procurement procedures.

Separately, after the planning board returned a zoning map amendment to the commission, the board approved an interlocal agreement with the City of Scobby governing law-enforcement services. The chair moved to approve the interlocal agreement, which passed with no opposition and was signed before being forwarded to city representatives for their signature.

The meeting record shows commissioners approved routine claims and accepted other administrative documents earlier in the session; no dissenting votes were recorded on the contracts or the interlocal agreement. The county clerk was directed to deliver the signed interlocal document to the city for countersignature.

Next steps: county staff will file the signed contracts and forward the interlocal agreement to Scobby officials for their signature and implementation.
