Commissioners approve lease forms to clarify insurance for county fire vehicles

Terms described by staff are nominal (a $10 payment or similar ‘‘other valuable consideration’’) and set a one‑year term that rolls month‑to‑month afterward so the county is not required to re-sign annually.
Staff said the agreements primarily document which vehicles the county insures and set out each entity’s insurance obligations. The county will ask each entity to bring current vehicle lists when they come to sign the agreements. Commissioners asked staff to collect contact information for White Tail and Peerless so the agreements can be executed.
A commissioner moved and seconded approval of the final form; the chair signed the documents and staff will retain copies for county files and distribute executed copies to participants.
