Lincoln County commissioners handled a range of routine administrative and planning matters at their Feb. 25 meeting, approving minutes, small PILT payments, board appointments and land-use items.
Minutes and PILT claims - Commissioners moved to approve the Feb. 12 (Stoultz tour) and Feb. 18 regular meeting minutes; voice votes recorded at least one opposition on each motion. - The board approved a PILT claim of $1,474 to Noble Excavating for an on-site water-line repair at the fairgrounds, and approved a $500 survey bill for Coutney survey work to locate a property line near Champion Hall Road.
Board appointments - The commission appointed Courtney Hubard to the fair board, Noah Pile to the weed board, Chris Neil to the Eureka Parks and Trails board, Andrew Mailing to the Troy Lake TV board, and reappointed Arthur Walters to the Tobacco Valley Industrial District Board. Each appointment was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Planning and permits - Final plat approvals were granted for the Stevenson single-lot subdivision and the Cobell Acres subdivision after finding conditions of approval met. - The board approved a lakeshore permit for a 20-by-38 floating dock (280 sq ft) at Island Lake submitted by Pleasant Valley Cattle Company and Oscar Mayorga, subject to six standard conditions and state/local permitting requirements.
Debris and procurement actions - Commissioners approved the review-panel recommendation to contract a debris-monitoring firm and voted to cancel and reissue the debris-removal and disposal RFP to clarify scope and permitting.
What the board did not do - The board opened a single solid-waste hauling bid but did not award a contract; commissioners deferred that decision while staff reviews the proposal.
