Planning staff presented the Sherwood Estate subdivision final plat for the board’s consideration and recommended approval. The proposed division splits a 10-acre parcel north of the Eureka airport into two approximately 5-acre lots.
Staff said the preliminary plat had been approved in February and the final submittal met nine conditions typical for plats: addressing, driveway identification, confirmation of utilities (Lincoln Electric), weed treatment, and DEQ sanitation approval. Planning staff also noted a required statement on the face of the plat that development is subject to airport hazard permitting because the parcels lie within the Eureka airport hazard area.
A commissioner moved and another seconded approval of the final plat. The board approved the Sherwood Estate final plat by voice vote; no public comment was recorded. Staff and a commissioner confirmed covenants from the earlier Border Acres 2 subdivision limit further subdivision of these lots to five-acre minimums.
