Commissioners hold off on $350,000 Yak Community Hall bid for further review

Staff described the work as crawl-space concrete foundation installation, drainage improvements and floor replacement. Commissioners and staff said they did not know whether the bid fully matched the project scope and agreed to ask the county engineer and the building committee to review the bid and determine whether the estimate fits the intended scope. One commissioner said the bid amount appeared significantly higher than the budgeted amount and recommended holding off on acceptance.
The board took no formal vote to accept the single $350,000 bid and directed staff and the building committee to follow up with the engineer and return with recommendations.
