Human resources MOU: The board approved a memorandum of understanding with the certificated bargaining unit that increases the district healthcare contribution by $99 per pay period for the 2026 plan year — from $777 to $876 per pay period (paid over 10 pay periods annually).
Board policy and administrative regulation updates: Trustees adopted revised board policies and administrative regulations that include clarification of opt‑out procedures for instructional content on the basis of religious beliefs and personal moral convictions. Board staff and public commenters discussed the June Mahmud v. Taylor decision and its effect on opt‑out processes; the board emphasized that opt‑outs must identify specific curriculum content rather than operate as blanket exclusions.
Assessment results: Dr. Kelly Gilbert, director of assessment and accountability, presented state assessment and AP results. The district reported that 79.88% of tested students met or exceeded the ELA standard, 68.5% met or exceeded in math, and 61.5% met or exceeded the CAST science standard for 2024–25. The district also reported a 91% pass rate on Advanced Placement exams (scores of 3 or higher) with 10,324 exams administered.
