Booster Club reports successful Blue Jean Ball; Beautification Club outlines early plans

Fraser — Community groups updated the Fraser Recreation Commission on Feb. 10 about recent events and early plans.
Vana Apps, representing the Fraser First Booster Club, said the club’s Feb. 7 Blue Jean Ball “went off very well” with generous sponsors and donors and that feedback was positive. The club plans an April 18 "Trample the Trail" volunteer and recycling activity at Stephens Park in partnership with Winkler Iron and Metal; Winkler has offered to accept donations and to return a portion of proceeds, and the club is exploring a second donation day. Apps also previewed a March 19 fundraiser at Rams Horn where a share of food sales will support the club.
A representative of the Fraser Beautification Club said January discussions generated ideas for downtown decorations and a wedge-area project but that no specific projects are scheduled; the club meets next on March 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Rams Horn.
Both groups invited volunteers for upcoming events and encouraged the community to mark calendars for the spring activities.
