The council then considered two annexation resolutions. Council also passed Resolution 18‑78, a second lease amendment with VFW Post 1949 that gives the city temporary exclusive use of the VFW hall (June 1–Sept. 30, 2026) while the senior center undergoes structural upgrades. Parks Director Alina Hibbs said the city will pay $6,800 to the VFW from the project budget and perform small accessibility improvements at the hall; no additional city funds are required.
