Premier Lakes reports lakes in good condition; board defers $277,550 well decision

Alex Kurth of Premier Lakes told the board on June 25 that there was “very little algae or submersed vegetation” and that crews had prepared the site well for the rainy season. Kurth said littorals will be installed in about two weeks, staff will examine a few noisy aerators and that a sound‑box repair behind a house in the Masters was completed.
On irrigation and water resources, staff discussed McCullers Construction Services & Consulting’s revised estimate #8 to install a new well for landscape irrigation in the amount of $277,550. The discussion referenced South Florida Water Management District water‑use restrictions, rainfall patterns and longer‑term plans to reduce irrigation water usage. The board took no action on the well estimate and will reconsider the item at a future meeting.
Operations staff asked Premier Lakes to check the sound level at Lake E1‑C and provide an update at the next meeting.
