Town Attorney Tal Rappleyea said the purpose of the revisions was to bring the zoning law into compliance with the town's comprehensive plan. "These updates were to bring the zoning law into compliance with the comprehensive plan," Rappleyea told the board.
Councilman Paul Macko moved, seconded by Councilman William VonAtzingen, to open the public hearing to discuss the proposed updates. Supervisor Bensen called for comments, questions and concerns from the public three times; no members of the public spoke. With no further comment, Councilman Richard Bear moved, seconded by Councilman VonAtzingen, to close the public hearing. The hearing was closed at 6:53 p.m. The transcript does not record any vote tallies on those motions or any vote to adopt the proposed law.
