Lawrenceville council awards sidewalk and $1.59M resurfacing contracts, approves property purchase and IGAs

For the Grizzly Parkway Sidewalk and Access Improvements project, the council awarded the contract to the second-lowest responsive and responsible bidder, RM Concrete Specialist, in an amount not to exceed $156,962 and authorized the mayor or city manager to execute the contract subject to city attorney approval.
On the 2026 Annual LMIG Resurfacing Project, the council approved award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, MHB Paving Inc., in an amount not to exceed $1,593,439.66, with contract execution also subject to city attorney review.
Assistant City Manager Barry Mock presented a quitclaim cleanup deed to purchase 0.030 acres from Anne Hawthorne Williams, identified in the minutes as the sole heir of Emma Hawthorne, for $500. The council approved the purchase and authorized the mayor to execute documents necessary to complete the conveyance.
The council also approved an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with the Development Authority of Lawrenceville (LDA) concerning a City Public Works outparcel and an IGA with the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) for 155 Northdale Road in the amount of $435,000, authorizing the mayor to execute both agreements subject to city attorney review.
