City hears EGLE water system update; paving estimate and fence aesthetics discussed

Scott Rasmussen, representing F&V, updated the Beaverton City Council on EGLE-funded water system improvements during the May 18 meeting. He said the firm is preparing an estimate to repave the southbound lane of Porter Street; the northbound lane had been ripped up and repaved earlier due to boardwalk work and the southbound lane has not yet been repaved. Rasmussen also noted concerns about the appearance of the chain-link fence around the Leo Ross Park wellhead and discussed options to alter its appearance.
The minutes do not record a decision on paving or fence improvements; Rasmussen said the firm is working on estimates. Council follow-up will be needed to authorize any paving work or fence modifications and to identify funding sources.
