Volunteer coordinator highlights cadet growth and property-tax incentive increase for first responders

Gilroy said the change will take effect in July and was presented as a recognition of first responders.
The report also noted that Lombardo Ayers and Company are the new accountants, that cadet classes are ongoing (class 29 and 30 combined with 21 cadets), that 8 students and 4 volunteers successfully passed National Registry EMT certification, and that cadet banquet and scheduling for the next classes have been arranged. The new Southern Maryland Regional Training Center coordinator, Mike Schaeffer, was also announced as on board.
