Committee chairs reported ongoing planning work on facilities and technology projects affecting the district’s campuses.
Hallie, speaking for the facilities committee, said the group heard a senior capstone presentation about solar panels and continued to review options for redesigning middle- and high-school athletic facilities. The facilities committee will meet again on Feb. 26 to continue the athletic field study and discuss proposed designs.
The technology advisory committee (TAC) reported that it had developed a requirements template and an evaluation matrix for a potential video management system. TAC identified four potential vendors and plans to invite vendors for on-site walkthroughs; the committee has prepared specific questions about vendor use of artificial intelligence that members will submit ahead of demonstrations to clarify capabilities and privacy concerns. The TAC said some vendor meetings may be closed if confidential procurement details are discussed.
Both committees emphasized that next steps include further review of proposals and on-site vendor engagement; committee chairs encouraged the public to consult posted agendas and minutes for future meeting dates and materials.
