Commissioners open CDBG bids for Packer Township public facilities; review delayed two weeks

The Carbon County Board of Commissioners opened competitive bids for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Packer Township Public Facilities project (item 26385) on June 8. Clerk/ staff read three bids: Bonet Inc., $90,500; H and P Construction Inc., $46,460; and Multiscape Inc., $98,067.
Commissioners moved to table the award decision and refer the bids to Burrard Township planning (planning staff) for review and to return with recommendations at the next meeting. "You're gonna need 2 weeks to review or to our next meeting to review the bids," a commissioner said; the motion to table and forward for planning review was seconded and approved by voice vote.
No contract awards were made at the meeting; staff will review the bids and return with a recommendation to the commissioners at a future session.
