Linda Price, clerk to the Animal Matters Hearing Board, gave the board's annual update.
Price said the board met 21 times in 2025, heard 125 citations (largely animal-control officer driven) and 20 civil complaints (neighbor disputes). "The citations are when an animal control officer is called out and they write a citation," Price said, noting common matters include dogs at large, bites and barking complaints. She added the Charles County Animal Care Center oversees the county's spay-and-neuter programs.
Commissioners thanked Price and had no further questions; the board moved on to other agenda items.
