County approves routine contracts, change order, grant application and appointments

Indiana County commissioners used the May 27 meeting to approve several routine administrative and contracting items.
The board approved an agreement with attorney Robert S. Muir to provide guardianship and legal services for FY25–26 at $125 per hour at the request of Tammy Calderone (BDHP). The commissioners also approved Change Order #3 for the Welcome Center at the Bank Low Voltage Systems Project with BR Electric & Audio Visual, adding power and network drops, four UniFi viewers with stands, additional Cat6 cabling and conference-room email integration; Change Order #3 is for $5,083 and updates the BR Electric contract to $110,211, to be paid with Keystone Communities Initiatives Program grant funds.
Chief Clerk Robin Maryai requested and the board approved submission of a PCORP (County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania) Loss Prevention Grant Program application for $2,754.06 to replace malfunctioning rear courthouse doors that serve as emergency egress points. The minutes record reappointments of August Santini and Danny Sacco to the Indiana County Municipal Emergency Medical Services Authority, terms expiring April 2031.
