The Indiana County Commissioners unanimously authorized submission of three Liquid Fuels county-aid applications to PennDOT District-10 on May 27.
Office of Planning & Development staff requested allocations of $48,271 for Creekside Borough to partly fund Campbell Street and Indiana Road paving (total cost $53,271; $5,000 borough match); $55,690 for Ernest Borough’s 1st Street resurfacing and drainage improvements (total cost $60,690; $5,000 match); and $30,000 for Glen Campbell Borough’s road rehabilitation program covering roughly 10,300 feet of roadways (total estimated cost $100,186; local contribution $70,186).
According to the minutes, the recommended county aid covers roughly 92% of Creekside and Ernest projects, and about 30% of Glen Campbell’s project. The motions for all three applications carried unanimously; staff were authorized to submit the necessary funding encumbrances to PennDOT District-10.
