Sarah Guy, chief of property acquisition in Planning and Growth Management, told the board the 3.3674‑acre parcel at the corner of Prince Frederick Road and Hughesville Industrial Park Drive is zoned industrial, has no conventional street address and appraised for more than the negotiated price. She said county staff completed due diligence — a survey and appraisal — and recommended settlement within 60 days after signatures are obtained.
The purchase was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. Commissioners did not discuss financing details on the record; staff said the acquisition is intended for the county’s Planning and Growth Management infrastructure division for the Hughesville water tower project.
