"We started with 5 terabytes, and after 4 months, that was already full," an IT staff member said. Council members and staff discussed moving to a cloud-based storage solution to provide backups and greater capacity, but staff cautioned that a cloud migration would be more expensive and requires coordination with vendors. Staff identified Motorola and another vendor (referred to as vt3 in discussion) as participants in ongoing troubleshooting.
City staff said they have been working with a former IT director and with vendors to resolve retrieval and storage issues and asked the council for patience as they develop a solution. Council members asked that the city provide updates at each council meeting until the problem is resolved.
The council did not take formal action beyond requesting regular updates and continued vendor coordination; no procurement decision was made at the meeting.
