Venango County Board approves routine minutes and personnel report, elects 2026 officers and moves to executive session

The Venango County Board of Inspectors unanimously approved routine administrative items and recorded its 2026 officer assignments during its Jan. 6 meeting at the Courthouse Annex.
Commissioner Albert Abramovic moved to approve the December 2025 meeting minutes; Treasurer Jeannie Ritchey seconded the motion, which passed with "Ayes all" recorded in the minutes. Later in the meeting, Director of Human Resources Justin Wolfe submitted the personnel report, which the board approved on a motion from Commissioner Sam Breene and a second from District Attorney Shawn White.
The board also recorded officer assignments for 2026: Sheriff Eric Foy as president, Commissioner Ken Bryan as vice-president and Treasurer Jeannie Ritchey as secretary/treasurer. The organization results were entered on the meeting record form.
Following the public portion, the board entered executive session at 12:30 p.m. to discuss personnel and hiring; the motion to enter executive session was made by Commissioner Sam Breene, seconded by Commissioner Ken Bryan, and approved unanimously. The executive session adjourned at 1:15 p.m.
