Hunter said the bid terms remain substantively the same but noted additional interested bidders had emerged.
A councilmember moved to schedule the hearing and authorize a new bid date; the year was corrected on the record to May 2026 and the motion carried. Council asked staff to proceed with public notification and with the bid timeline.
What happens next: Public Works will publish the hearing notice, prepare the surplus-sale materials and receive new bids per the authorized schedule.
