The clerk for the San Juan County Planning Commission announced at the March 20 meeting that she will retire from the county on May 1 and that the April meeting will be her final session.
"I'm announcing that I'm retiring from the county on May 1st," the clerk said, noting she has been clerking for the commission for about 30 years. Commissioners offered congratulations and informal plans for a farewell.
The clerk told the commission that Anna Paradi will begin handling clerking duties in the short term. No formal personnel action was taken at the meeting.
