The Goodview City Council handled several administrative items on March 16, approving a joint orderly annexation, a newsletter draft and routine consent items, and receiving staff reports and a candidate introduction.
The council unanimously approved Resolution No. 1300, a joint resolution with the Township of Rollingstone for the orderly annexation of property owned by Melissa Bolstad at 17082 County Road 23, Minnesota City (motion: Councilmember Richard Ledebuhr; second: Councilmember Cassandra Gilliam). The council also approved the draft city newsletter with a minor revision to an elections article (motion: Councilmember Ledebuhr; second: Councilmember Gilliam).
Police Chief Lonnie Roloff reported that a new squad car is complete and is expected to be delivered by the end of the month. City staff provided an April maintenance on-call schedule, a thank-you letter from the Southern MN Initiative Foundation, and League of Minnesota Cities Day on the Hill materials.
Dan Wilson introduced himself as a Democratic candidate for the Minnesota House of Representatives and asked to hear from the city about local priorities. The meeting adjourned at 6:12 p.m.
