The Goodview City Council revisited the Financial Planning Model (FPM) at its April 7 meeting and directed staff to arrange a follow-up presentation by Ehlers and Associates.
City Administrator Dan Matejka presented a reorganized, user-friendly version of the FPM previously provided by Ehlers. He said he did not change the figures in Ehlers’ model; he only reformatted the material for clarity. The model outlines how various projects and equipment would be funded over time—by cash, property tax levies, or bonds—depending on council choices.
Council directed that Mr. Todd Hagen from Ehlers attend the next council meeting, April 21, 2025, to further explain the process and answer questions. No changes to levy or bond actions were approved at this meeting; the session focused on explanation and scheduling follow-up.
