The Goodview City Council on March 2 unanimously approved the reappointment of Alice Zimmer to the Economic Development Authority and granted approvals for a business assistance application and a liquor license.
Councilmember Richard Ledebuhr moved to appoint Alice Zimmer to a six-year EDA term through Dec. 31, 2031; Councilmember Sandra Ramirez seconded and all voted aye. The council also approved a Business Assistance and Improvement Program application from Todd's Refrigeration after a motion by Ledebuhr and a second from Councilmember Charlie Andring; that motion carried unanimously. Later in the meeting Ledebuhr moved, Ramirez seconded and the council approved on-sale, off-sale and special Sunday liquor licensing for Goodview Bar & Grill; the motion carried with all voting aye.
The approvals followed routine agenda housekeeping. The consent agenda, approved earlier in the meeting on a motion by Councilmember Charlie Andring and seconded by Ramirez, included the February regular meeting minutes, the retirement of medical responder Traci Stachowitz effective Feb. 28, 2026, and the February 2026 claims. The clerk/staff presented fund-by-fund claim totals that totaled $632,299.80.
Council members exchanged brief comments but recorded no roll-call opposition on the votes. The council discussed council pay during the meeting but took no formal action on compensation.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Ben Klinger at 5:00 p.m. and adjourned at 5:52 p.m.
