Goodview council authorizes three-month extension of The Bar's lease and starts new lease process

Councilmember Cassandra (Cassie) Gilliam moved and Councilmember Charlie Andring seconded a motion directing the City Attorney to draft a three-month extension to the existing lease of The Bar and to begin preparing a new lease to take effect Jan. 1, 2026 between the City and the current renter; all voted aye and the motion carried.
The minutes record the action as an instruction to the City Attorney; no lease terms or rental amounts were included in the meeting record. The action was recorded as other business in the July 7 meeting minutes.
The council also set a special meeting for July 14, 2025 to address a personnel matter and asked staff to prepare park income/expense reports for the July 21, 2025 regular meeting. These items were approved or directed in the same meeting.
