Engineer estimates just over $3 million to complete Goodview’s proposed 2026 street improvements

Matt Mohs of Bolten & Menk presented a preliminary cost and schedule estimate for the City of Goodview’s proposed 2026 Street Improvement Project at the Nov. 24 council meeting.
Mohs outlined four work segments: areas east of 44th Avenue; 5th Street from 47th Avenue to 49th Avenue; the City Hall parking lot; and the parking lot at The Bar. His preliminary combined estimate for those segments is just over $3,000,000. He described a planning and design window through February 2026, a March–April 2026 bidding period, and a construction start goal in June 2026 with an estimated 9–10 week construction duration.
Councilmembers were told the council will revisit the project on Dec. 15, 2025 for further consideration and potential direction. The presentation was described in the minutes as brief; councilmembers did not adopt design or contract directives at the Nov. 24 meeting.
