The Board discussed the organizational placement and duties of the Neighborhood Services Officer during the Feb. 18 meeting. Mayor Gabriel I. Holguin and staff outlined staffing needs, equipment shortfalls, overtime concerns and the possibility of departmental reassignment.
Trustees directed the city’s Human Resources staff to conduct an on-site personnel and structure review and to provide recommendations to the Board. No formal action was taken to reassign the position during the meeting.
The HR review will examine staffing levels, equipment needs, overtime exposure and reporting lines and is expected to produce recommendations for trustees to consider at a future meeting.
